When it comes to dentures, seeing real results speaks louder than any description. This gallery shows a selection of full denture and partial denture cases from Northern Rivers Denture Clinic in Tweed Heads, so you can get a genuine sense of what carefully made dentures can look like. Every mouth is different, and results vary from person to person, but we hope these examples help you picture what might be possible for your own smile.
This patient came to us after having full dentures made elsewhere that had left her feeling self-conscious. The teeth were too short and yellowed, ageing her face rather than framing it. Our dental prosthetist redesigned her smile from scratch, choosing better-proportioned teeth in a softer, more natural shade to suit her features. The before and after photos above speak for themselves — a result that looks and feels like her own smile.
This patient returned to our Tweed Heads clinic after 13 years wearing an upper full denture we had made for her. Over time, denture teeth naturally wear and the fit changes as the jaw and gums gradually remodel — so even a well-made denture will eventually need replacing. She wanted a new upper full denture only, keeping her natural lower teeth, and chose a natural, lighter tooth shade to refresh her smile. The difference between her old denture and new denture is clear in the photos above.

Many people facing extractions worry about one thing above everything else: having to go without teeth while they heal. Immediate dentures are designed to solve exactly that problem. This patient came to us with only four remaining upper teeth and some residual stumps. She needed a full upper clearance and wanted to avoid being without teeth at any point during the process. We made her immediate upper denture in advance, so that when she attended her dentist for her extractions, the denture was inserted straight away — she left the dental chair with a full smile. An immediate denture is a temporary solution while the gums heal and remodel, and a permanent denture is usually made once healing is complete. Even so, for this patient the immediate result gave her exactly what she was hoping for from day one.
Choosing to have remaining teeth removed is rarely an easy decision, and for many patients the biggest concern is what comes next. The key to a confident outcome with immediate dentures is preparation — the denture is made before extractions take place, so there is no waiting period and no time spent without teeth. This patient required a full upper clearance and came to us to have her immediate upper denture made in advance of her extractions. On the day of her procedure, the denture was fitted straight away by her dentist. Gums change shape significantly during the healing period following extractions, which is why an immediate denture is considered a transitional solution — a permanent denture is typically made once healing is complete. The photos below show the result on the day of fitting.
This patient came to us wanting upper and lower chrome partial dentures in a bright white shade to refresh her smile. After discussing all available options — including aesthetic clasps that sit invisibly along the gumline — she chose to proceed with standard chrome clasps and was comfortable with their placement. The result is a well-fitted, functional set of partial dentures that she was delighted with.
This young patient had her lower chrome partial denture made without aesthetic clasps, and quickly found the metal clasps in her smile line affected her confidence. She returned to us to have gum-coloured clasps fitted in their place — and the transformation is striking. Where two prominent metal clasps once drew the eye, there is now virtually nothing to see. If you wear a partial denture and your clasps show when you smile, this kind of upgrade is possible for most patients. It's a small change that can make a significant difference to how you feel about your smile.
